It is one of Miyajima's representative long-established inns, and is known for having hosted many famous people such as Hirobumi Ito. The main building, built in the Meiji era (1868-1912), is one of the few wooden ryokan in the prefecture that still retains its stately appearance. Also famous for its "Hanare," which is integrated with the greenery of Momijidani Park and the mountain stream, visitors can experience the charm of Miyajima, which is not limited to Itsukushima Shrine.
