Choseikaku Villa of Kosanji Temple

Located on the grounds of Kosanji Temple in Setoda, this is one of the most prominent residential buildings in the prefecture. It was built by a businessman who made his fortune in steel pipe manufacturing, as a place where his mother could live out the remainder of her days. The ceilings in the living rooms are of the prestigious oriage-goten-jo style, and each ceiling panel is decorated with flower and bird paintings, creating a truly luxurious space.
