This one-story wooden building was constructed as the school building of the former Ono Village Ono Elementary School, and is now the Ono Social Education Facility of the town of Kamishikogen. The classrooms are located on the south side for lighting, the corridor is on the north side, the entrance is in the center and the children's entrance is on the west end. The exterior is clapboarded, and many of the window frames are still made of wood. Although this was a common design for wooden school buildings in the early Showa period, there are very few of these remaining in the prefecture, making it a rare and precious find.
