This mansion building is located northeast of Fukuyama Castle Park. Originally built as a private villa, it was later donated to Fukuyama City and used for various events such as public tea ceremonies, concerts, and haiku gatherings.
The main building is Japanese-style, and has a magnificent entrance with a hiwadabuki cypress bark roof's karahafu (type of curved gable found in Japanese architecture), to which is attached a Western-style building characterized by Venetian Renaissance-style pseudo-window decorations and pillar decorations. In addition, a tea ceremony room and storehouse survived the war and remain to this day
