This guest house was built within the precincts of Fuzenji Temple on a small hill in Tomonoura, where the historical townscape still remains. The building is designed to take advantage of the view, and visitors sitting in the room can see the beauty of many islands typical of the Seto Inland Sea, such as Senanajima, as if they are looking at a painting. It is said that the Korean envoys who visited Japan during the Edo period praised this view as "the most beautiful scenery of Japan".
