Facing the approach to Senkoji Mountain in Onomichi City, this building used to be a ryokan. It stands on top of a high stone wall and overlooks the Onomichi Waterway. The building makes the best use of the irregularly shaped site. It is a historic building full of "Onomichi-like" features, such as the kakezukuri exterior overhanging the stone wall, elaborate designs such as fan rafters and tall railings, a structure that makes extensive use of antique wood, and a neat roof made of Kikuma tiles. A local non-profit organization is currently working to revitalize the building.
