Located at the trailhead of Mt. Shirataki in the northern part of Innoshima, this former home of an American missionary has been used as a pension since 1987. It is one of the few remaining buildings designed by architect Vories in Hiroshima Prefecture, and is a three-story wooden structure built on a slope. The steeply sloping roof, dormer windows, half-timbers decorating the exterior, and the brick entrance area are just a few of the many highlights.
