This residential complex was built on the outskirts of Hiroshima City. Taking advantage of the gentle south-sloping slope, the complex consists of a two-story residential block with maisonette units on the first and second floors, each with a garden, and a four-story residential block with maisonette units on the third and fourth floors with roof terraces, each with a view of Hiroshima Bay. This is an attractive example of the low-rise housing complexes of the 1950s, which aimed for a shift from quantity to quality.
In addition to the roads, there are pathways among the greenery and alleys between the buildings, which give the feeling of walking through an old village.
