This large sake brewery stands in Shiwabori, Higashi-Hiroshima City, which retains the atmosphere of an old farming village. Although it is no longer in operation, buildings from the Edo to Showa periods remain on the premises. The main building with thatched roofing built in the Edo period is of particular historical value, but the other buildings also retain their original appearance and are all valuable. The beautiful rural landscape is also impressive, with the sake brewery buildings blending well with the surrounding rice paddies.
