This pottery workshop stands in the "Haizuka Lakeside Forest" developed around the Haizuka Dam in northern Hiroshima Prefecture. Built on top of a hill, it gives the viewer the impression of a wooden box floating on the slope.
The materials and colors of the cottages and exchange facilities maintained in the surrounding area were taken in and rearranged, sublimating them into a new design that harmonizes with the surroundings. The exterior, structure, and fittings have been chosen to keep the exterior simple and flat.
