This museum exhibits Japanese paintings by Goami Kakudo. The building has a wall structure with no pillars so that many paintings can be displayed on the walls. Slit windows in the corners of the walls and decorative panels made of glass allow natural breezes to enter the museum and the paintings to be viewed in soft natural light. The white light-collecting tubes on the ceiling are installed in a calculated manner so that the light does not shine directly on the paintings, the museum's light always alike to that of sunlight shining through trees.
