This unique Maritime Self-Defense Force exhibition facility stands on the waterfront in Kure, with a real submarine on display adjacent to the building. The building has a light design made of steel and glass, but on its walls you can see what looks like white powder. This was designed with the walls of submarine repair docks in mind, and represents the salt crystals that form when seawater evaporates.
