Information on Application for Issuance of Police Certificates
【Issuance of Police Certificates】
A "Police Certificate" is an official document regarding previous criminal records in Japan.We will issue a "Police Certificate" only if you are required to submit by foreign authorities of your destination country when you travel overseas(including that you stay for a long time)or obtain a license or a qualification in that country.
※ Please note that depending on the country or the reason for application,you may need to request "Special Issue"to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan directly before you apply for the certificate to this Police Headquarters.

Notice of change in reception hours
To create a comfortable working environment and improve quality of administrative service, we have decided to change our reception hours tentatively as follow.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Starting date
June 3, 2024
Reception hours after the change
Monday through Friday
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and during the year change period.
※ The application process takes approximately 30 minutes.
※ If there is more than one applicant, you may be asked to wait.

※ Please come to the police entrance reception at the first floor.
【Parking】
・ Parking is available in the prefectural government visitor parking lot.
・ Parking is free for 60 minutes.
・ If you exceed 60 minutes, it costs 220 yen every 30 minutes.
・ When you enter the parking lot, please receive a parking ticket and hand it to the person in charge.

【 Issuance of Police Certificate】
・ The certificate will be issued approximately one week after the application date.
・ The certificate will be issued to the applicants.If the applicants cannot come for unavoidable reason, the representatives of the applicants with the letters of attorney can come and receive them.
・ The certificate can not be delivered by mail.
