The G7 Summit (Summit of Major Industrialized Nations) is an annual international conference attended by the seven countries of France, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Italy, and Canada (shown in the order of which country acted as the chair country), as well as the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.
At the G7 Summit, G7 leaders who share fundamental values such as freedom, democracy, and human rights sit around a single table and frankly exchange views on the world economy, regional affairs, and various global issues. The G7 Summit in 2023 will be the seventh hosted by Japan.
