It is said that approximately 140,000 people, about 40% of the population of Hiroshima City at that time, died within that year due to the first atomic bomb used in human history.
Toward the realization of a truly peaceful world free of nuclear weapons, Hiroshima will continue to disseminate to the world peace-related information, including the reality of the atomic bombing and recovery from the tragedy caused by the atomic bomb.
